The participation of the Palestine Academy for Science and Technology within the national team to prepare the national strategy for innovation
The Higher Council for Innovation and Excellence held a workshop to review the first draft of the National Strategy for innovation and Entrepreneurship, which was prepared under the leadership of the Policy and Planning Committee and the General Administration of Policies and Planning in the HCIE.
The national team participated with representatives of a group of national institutions from the public, private and academic sectors, including the Palestine Academy for Science and Technology, and their participation in the discussion on the general framework of the strategy, which was prepared by Dr. Ibrahim Nairat, Director General of Policies in the Council and a local expert, Eng. Hassan Omar with the support of the French ANIMA Foundation funded by the European Union.
Eng .Hassan Omar gave a presentation on the strategy, and it was discussed with the national team, which presented its comments about it, as it will be included in the final draft.
The attendance included HCIE President HE Eng. Adnan Samara, Chairman of the Policy and Planning Committee, Eng. Ayman Sobeih, and a crowd of committee members at the council’s headquarters, also via Zoom technology with Experts.
As this strategy is the first step in Palestine that aims to highlight the role and responsibilities that fall on all national institutions with regard to innovation , and gathering all potential stakeholders to coordinate efforts toward promoting and advancing the current status of innovation in Palestine.
The strategy focuses on three central axes: the environment that supports innovation, the innovative pioneers, and the sectors that lead innovation, analysis of strategy preparation processes, and analysis of the internal and external environment affecting innovation.
