Research Project Title: Design and Characterization of Polymer Thin Films for Improved Energy Storage Applications 

Research Project Purpose: This research proposal aims at studying the applications of polymer thin films and its applications on energy storage systems. The polar conjugated polymers will be investigated in order to enhance the efficiency of electrical storage devices. the capacity of different polymers and its relation to capacity to accumulate charge and transport rate will be investigated. The optical properties of different materials using various spectroscopic electrochemical techniques will be analyzed. Finally, ion-polymer interactions and its relations with the structure of the polymer matrix will be studied based on the optimized composite materials characterizations.

Expected Results: Develop and propose new approach to enhance energy storage efficiencies of Photovoltaic cells and its applications in medical devices.
