- Maysaa Nemer
Maysaa Nemer is an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Community and Public Health / Birzeit University, Palestine. She holds a PhD in Occupational Epidemiology and MPhil in International Community Health from the University of Oslo, Norway. Her research interest is focused on occupational epidemiology, environmental health, and social and economic aspects of occupational and environmental health, with special interest on working women’s health.
Dr. Nemer joined Birzeit University in 2018. She has been a faculty member at the MPH program, teaching topics related to occupational and environmental health. In addition, she has been a trainer on topics related to research methods and research ethics. She also serves as the coordinator of the local ethics review committee at the institute. Her current research is focused on, in addition to occupational and environmental health, health information systems, digital health, and gender analysis. She is also leading a qualitative research project, examining the effects of environmental and structural factors on working women’s health.
