Ministry of Education in collaboration with the Palestine Academy of Science and Technology has virtually held the 11th episode of the Palestine Astrophysics Program, with Prof. Dr. Mayssa El Yazidi, on Planetary geology: the Case of Mars and Mercury as a model, in the middle of a remarkable interaction of students, who are interested in astronomy and space science.

This episode was moderated by Dr Radwan El-Kelani, the Director of the Palestinian Seismological Observatory at  An-Najah National University

Mayssa El Yazidi obtained her PhD from the Center for Studies and Activities for Space (CISAS) at the University of Padova in Italy in January 2023. Her interest focuses on geological mapping and studying tectonic features on Mars and Mercury. She is a member of the scientific team of the SYMBIO-SYS instrument on board the BepiColombo space mission to Mercury. Dr. El Yazidi has selected 38 geological sites on the surface of Mercury to be covered by SIMBIO-SYS, which is an integrated monitoring system of spectrometer and imaging devices for the BepiColombo spacecraft.
