The Academy hosts the Biological Society Founding Council (FC) meeting at its offices in Ramallah, in conjunction with the Gaza Universities FC via Video-conference from Islamic University. The meeting was discussed the following key issues:

1. Updating the Society constitution and after discussions the final version was released and adopted 
2. Members were agreed to select a temporary steering committee to execute the activities of the Biological Society in 2020 and to prepare for the 1st annual meeting
3. The coordinator of the Founding Council, Dr Omar Hamarsheh reported the key points discussed at the Palestinian Scientific Societies meeting held early this month, supported by Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Jerusalem FNF
4. Additionally, Dr. Ghadeer Omar reviewed the results of the official visit of the Academy delegation, under the program "Academy and Industry Partnership- Support and Cooperation of Higher Education Institutions in Germany", to the German State of North Rhine Westphalia (NRW), organized and sponsored by Friedrich Naumann Foundation, Jerusalem (FNF), which involved a biological scientific research component and how it links with industry.
