The Ministry of Education, in cooperation with the Palestine Academy for Science and Technology and the Higher Council for innovation and Excellence, hosted Dr. Mohammad Harzallah, a doctor and researcher in neurosciences at the American University of Rutgers and founding director of the Palestinian Neurosciences Initiative at Al-Quds University, as part of the fourth episode of the "Exploring Science" program. . And in his lecture entitled: "Neurosciences: From the Brain to the Mind"
Herzallah took the students and the attendees on a journey from the nerve cell through cognitive processes and linking them to the understanding of psychological diseases.
He presented interesting scientific information, focusing on the functional communication of neurons, with explanatory and explanatory examples that sparked many questions and deep inquiries to the students. and an affirmation of the philosophy and progress of the program.
The Minister of Education, Prof. Marwan Awartani confirmed , the importance of encouraging students to engage in such forums and scientific spaces that provide incubating environments for deep learning, the ability to analyze, and use of knowledge, pointing to the Ministry's current interest in scientific aspects; Especially through the "Steam" program, which will form an integrated system for these programs.
And at the beginning of meeting, the Undersecretary Dr. Basri Saleh praised the guest, Harzallah, his experiences and distinction in his specialized research in neurosciences, stressing the importance of benefiting from these meetings, investing them and linking them to scientific and cognitive contexts
