IAP and TWAS invite PALAST to nominate a distinguished Palestinian Scientists for TWAS membership

Inter Academy Panel IAP host academy  TWAS - the world academy of sciences  is launching is launching a membership campaign with particular attention to 

  • women scientists;  
  • scientists from countries not- or poorly-represented in TWAS;  
  • social & economic scientists; 


And approached Palestine Academy for Science and Technology (PALAST), as the national focal point and IAP member, to nominate Palestinian Scientists for TWAS membership.


TWAS is a merit-based academy, and its membership represents the best of science in developing countries. Its main mission is to promote scientific excellence and capacity in the South for science-based sustainable development. The main criterion for election as a TWAS Member is scientific excellence. Only those scientists who have attained the highest international standards and have made significant contributions to the advancement of science can be nominated.
