Launching the Palestinian Research Hub Initiative on the occasion of Indian National Science Day-2022

 On the celebration of The Indian National Science Day, which is observed annually in recognition of India's first Nobel Prize Laureate, Scientist Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman. He made the remarkable discovery known as "Raman Effect", The Representative Office of India in Ramallah. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, the State of Palestine, the Indian National Science Academy INSA, Palestine Academy for Science and Technology, and The Researchist organized. The Indian National Science Day - 2022 Conference and Launch of Palestinian Research Hub on 26th February.

The Conference began with an exhibition on scientific creativity projects carried out by Palestinian Youth through the GOI-funded Quick Impact Project "Integrating Technology into Education", implemented in partnership with Young Scientists Club "Al Muntada".

This year's Conference theme is "Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for Sustainable Future", with a focus on India's demonstrated milestones in Science and Technology, as an integral part of Indian culture and natural philosophy, as envisioned by Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi for India leading scientific role in the global arena.
The Indian representative confirmed that India had asserted itself as a leading country in the fields of industrialization and technological development, and globally considered as one of the top-ranking countries in the field of research, especially in the emerging scenario and competitive economy, and the necessity to embark on major science projects which have relevance to national needs for tomorrow's technology.

Virtually participating on behalf of the Indian National Science Academy (INSA), Prof. N. K. Mehra, Vice-President (International Affairs) introduced the various programs and schemes provided by INSA and underlined the need for Palestinian Potential Bridging with India in the near future with the support from the Representative Office of India in Palestine.

Then Dr. Duha Shellah presented the Research Hub initiative launched by the Researchist. This Hub will serve as a platform for networking between Palestinian researchers and scientists from university professors, postgraduate students, undergraduate students, and school students and provide research opportunities, besides creating an environment for consultation and support between researchers - junior scientists and experts- in addition, to offer possible international opportunities through the platform.

Dr. Rana Samara, the representative, and coordinator of the scientific bridges at the Palestine Academy of Science and Technology, gave a brief presentation in which she explained the mission and objectives of the Academy. She presented the latest developments and the various scholarship programs implemented by the Academy during the year. Which will benefit researchers to engage in scientific bridges, other programs, and ways of future cooperation, especially with India.

The conference concluded with the launch of the Palestinian Research Hub by the Researchist. In addition, the program included a  panel session on the benefits of Palestinian Research Hub, in which prominent participants from scientific societies and scientific deanships of the Palestinian universities and Ministry of Education Dr. Sharaf Al-Tarda representing The Scientific Societies, Dr. Amira Shaheen representing OWSD Palestine Chapter, Dr. Hazem Al-Baz representing Palestine Young Academy, Dr. Muhammad Awad and Dr. Nafez Naser Aldeen representing Scientific deanships, and Mr. Maree al Sous, representing the Ministry of Education. The Panelists shared their recommendations and perspectives on the Hub, and the panel was moderated by The Researchist team, Huda Arar and Ayman Thuqan.

The Indian National Science Day - 2022 Conference is an opportunity to mark, introduce and extend India's prominence in global arena/platforms and mainstream Science, Technology and Innovation into international diplomacy and foreign relations; and foster alliances and partnerships with friendly nations to accelerate key priorities and programs, including India-Palestine Potential Bridging in Science and Technology.
