Research Project Title: Software repository mining and using machine learning to detect software vulnerabilities.
Research Project Purpose: The aim of this research is to predict and fix the software system’s security vulnerabilities at an early phase of software development lifecycle, by utilizing data mining techniques to identify and predict security vulnerabilities in the software systems source code.
Expected Results: Expected Results The proposed project has the potential of reducing the cost that governmental organizations and companies would incur each year due to cyber-attacks, and help build software that is more robust.
