Prof. Dr. Ghaleb Natour is the director of the Central Institute of Engineering, Electronics and Analytics – Engineering and Technology at the Research Center Jülich in Germany and a university professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at RWTH Aachen University. Prof Natour is the European Spallation Source (ESS) Industry Liaison Officer (ILO) for Germany. He is a member of the German-Palestinian Steering Committee for cooperation in science and technology, an initiative of the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). Natour is the initiator and co-founder of the Palestinian-German Science Bridge (PGSB), and serves as the scientific director of the PGSB.

Prof. Natour holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Heidelberg, Germany. He worked at the Max-Planck Institute for Nuclear Physics in Heidelberg and at Philips Electronics Research Labs in Aachen, Germany.

Prof. Natour has been active in the fields of innovation, research, science and technology for over 30 years, holding leadership positions in both the private and public sector, as well as establishing cooperations between the sectors. He has extensive experience in engineering, prototyping and product development, including R&D quality management, technology and people management, process- and organization management, and knowledge and technology transfer, with specific interest in transfer between Europe and the Middle East.
