The Palestine academy for science and technology and The Researchist met with the General Administration of Intellectual Property Rights at the Ministry of National Economy, and representatives of the Swiss Federal Institute of Intellectual property during their Exploration visit to Palestine. It strives to develop a work environment for intellectual property in Palestine, also, it has been discussed the role of intellectual property in promoting scientific research and creativity in Palestine. Besides, the ability to activate a unified national system for intellectual property, especially for scientific research, including the involvement of all universities and scientific institutions that are working in the field of scientific research. In addition, the possibility of forming the executive committee from scientific institutions in coordination from PALAST, as it's the official representative for science and technology in Palestine.

Scientific research is the foundation of creativity and innovation and intellectual property for scientists who work in this field. Studies have confirmed that Innovation and knowledge are associated with intellectual property(IPR). and it has shown companies that applied for responsible authorities to register their rights were more innovative. Also, the necessity of cooperation among industrial companies with many academic institutions especially those protect intellectual property rights, as long as, It is guaranteed to have a positive impact on the growth of national economies. 

On the other hand , the private and social returns on R&D investments is very low in developing countries. due limited knowledge of the exact correlation between technology and growth, and activating the intellectual property rights will allow maximization of benefits improving existing capabilities.
