PYA Starting with the formation of the Advisory Board from Distinguished Scientists around the world

Palestine Young Academy (PYA) was established as an initiative by a group of young Palestinian academics, with support from Palestine Academy for Science and Technology (PALAST), and in accordance with the constitution of the Global Young Academy. 

PYA aims to build opportunities for excellence, strengthen the relationship between young Palestinian academics and policymakers, and stimulate ideas that connect Palestinian scientists and research institutions at the local, regional and international levels.

The founding members of the Palestine Young Academy starting the formation of the Advisory Board from distinguished scientists around the world, and currently in the process of inviting and implementing an Advisory Board for the Academy. The Advisory Board will be critical to the implementation of PYA vision, the accelerated growth of PYA, and its pursuit of leadership and innovation in scientific research.

This Advisory Board will work directly to provide strategic leadership and planning in the areas of scientific research projects, programme development and assessment, engagement with the public, and external and corporate partnerships. The Advisory Board will include a wide representation of distinguished researchers who are demonstrated leaders in the science and literature fields and have a passion for advancing the missions of the PYA.

Several communications and meetings was held with prominent Advisory Board to gain more experience and knowledge from the advisory board members, their contributions will include helping PYA in: 

  • Realizing our visions and goals
  • Communicating and connecting us with International institutes
  • Getting support to implement training and scientific projects
  • Attending the advisory board meetings, and the assembly meeting
  • Advising, monitoring and evaluating our implemented projects at the academy
  • Approving  PYA selected members
