Mario Pianesi

Mr. Pianesi is a chief contributor to the founding of the first organic farm in Italy, the author of "An Invitation to Macrobiotics", and was appointed Chairman of the Assembly at the foundation of the SNI (“Società  Naturisti Italiani”, Italian Society of Naturists). He conceived and founded Un Punto Macrobiotico (UPM) in 1980. He conceived and promoted the “Ma-Pi 2 Diabetes Project” in 2000 in countries in 3 different continents (which was extended to Palestine in 2013). In 2005, he was appointed as a member of the UNESCO Scientific Committee on Education for Sustainable Development, and was awarded for "Best work in diet therapy" from China in 2006. A year later, he received an honorary degree of Professor and Doctor from the Academy of Sciences of the Mongolian Republic. In 2010, he was appointed as a member of the Editorial Board of the science journal “Journal of Arab Board of Medical Specializations”. Prof. Mario Pianesi was appointed as an honorary member of the Mongolian Association for Research and Experimentation to Combat Desertification by virtue of his fundamental theoretical and practical contribution to the realization of projects for reforestation, restoration and preservation of the environment. Governmental and scientific authorities of the Republic of Cuba awarded Prof. Mario Pianesi with the High Title of Special Category of “Researcher of Merit” for the concrete transformations of the environment, agriculture, nutrition, health and economy that have taken place in the Cuban Nation as a result of the application of his indications. In 2012, he was awarded with the qualification and honorary title of First Farmer Protecting Agricultural Biodiversity in the Lombardy region, and he also received the qualification and title of Honorary Associate and Member of the CISD (International Center for Studies on Diabetes), and on the same occasion, he was awarded the high title of “Researcher of Merit” by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment of Cuba. He also received the Official Symbol of the Arab Board of Health Specializations, and the symbol of Peace by Prof. Sadok Bouzid, who also proposed him for the Nobel Prize. Over the course of his successful career and journey, he continues to receive many more awards, honorary titles and recognition.
