Prof. Mohammed Awad

Prof. Mohammed Awad is a Professor of Computer Engineering/Artificial Intelligent.  He received a B.S. Degree in Automation Engineering from Palestine Polytechnic University in the year 2000, he studied for master's & Ph.D. in Computer Engineering at Granada University Spain in the Artificial Intelligent field. From 2005 to 2006, he was a contract Researcher at Granada University in the research group Computer Engineering: Perspectives and Applications. Since Feb. 2006, he has been an Assistant Professor in the Computer Engineering Department, College of Engineering and Information Technology at Arab American University, Palestine. 
In 2010 he was promoted to the rank of Associate Professor in Computer Engineering. In 2016 he was promoted to the rank of Full Professor in Computer Engineering. Prof. Awad worked for more than 16 years at the Arab American University in an academic Position, in parallel with various Academic administrative positions (Departments Chairman and Dean Assistant, Dean of Scientific Research, and Editor-In-Chief, Journal of AAUP). He has served on committees at AAUP, including, a member of the preparatory committee of Conferences, chair of the AAUP Research Council, member of the AAUP disciplinary council, Member of the Faculty Council, and Member of the University Council. chair of the Prizes Committees, Member of Strategic Plan, Member of the Board of Appointment and Promotion, Scientific Research Council in Palestinian Universities.

Prof. Awad has an excellent experience in Teaching: Ph.D., Master's, and Undergraduate Courses, he Supervised more than 35 Ph.D. and Master's Thesis, and Prof Awad has excellent experience in the evaluation of academic programs and degrees for the Ministry of Higher Education. Also, I an excellent experience in managing scientific research: Funding Projects, Organizing Conference Attendance, Scholarship Programs, and Research Awards. Prof. Awarded Many Scholarships and Won Scientific Research Excellence Awards. 
 
Through his research and educational experience, Prof. Awad has developed a strong research record. he concentrates on using AI tools in real applications especially in using AI in the health sector. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence Techniques, Neural Networks, Function Approximation of Complex Systems, Clustering Techniques, Algorithms, Optimization Algorithms, and Time-series Prediction. He won a number of awards and research grants.
